On the 12th month after your system is interconnected by PG&E once your billing cycle ends, PG&E will send you an annual “True-Up” statement which will show the net cost you will need to pay PG&E or a credit.

Your True-Up NEM (net energy metered) statement is PG&E’s reconciliation of all electric usage charges and credits for the previous 12 month billing cycle. If you have any remaining charges, you will need to pay that amount to PG&E. If you have any remaining credits, that amount will be reset to zero. The statement will also show whether you are eligible to receive a payment for excess electricity generated, called Net Surplus Compensation. Click here for  an example of your True- Up statement.
