Luminalt and SunRun have just partnered to offer Bay Area homeowners a new way to go solar. With the SunRun option, Luminalt is now able to offer its customers the ability to lock in fixed electric rates without having to buy a solar system. Luminalt has installed more systems that any other installer in San Francisco and SunRun is the state’s largest solar provider.
Luminalt installs the solar system for a homeowner and SunRun owns, insures and maintains it. Homeowners can switch to solar without having to pay thousands of dollars upfront or worry about ongoing maintenance, and they receive industry-leading customer service from SunRun and Luminalt.
The companies, both based in San Francisco, are led by women: Luminalt CEO Jeanine Cotter and SunRun President Lynn Jurich. The two females have created fast-growth companies in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
