Luminalt’s CEO Jeanine Cotter spoke at the San Francisco Green Festival on a panel of several other women who are trailblazers in green business. Jeanine, who holds Luminalt’s contractor’s license, spoke of the importance of respecting craftsmanship and labor, something that can often fall to underpaid and inexperienced individuals in the solar industry. As a local owner-operated business, Luminalt is able to attract experienced installers and engineers while maintaining strong community ties. Luminalt’s diverse team reflects the community it serves, showing that environmentalism should be a conversation that we all take part in, regardless of background.

Numerous awards and recognitions for strong customer service, from all five-star Yelp reviews to a national award for “Outstanding Customer Service” by SunPower, illustrate Luminalt’s dedication to community. Our customers are a part of our community, and we work hard to make them feel good about their decision to go solar and to encourage their friends and neighbors to do the same. Luminalt’s core values of social justice and sustainability can be seen in everything we do, from our daily work and interactions with customers and non-profits. Every member of Luminalt’s team prides his or herself on being in solar for all of the right reasons – we’re excited about what we do, and look forward to helping more people make the switch.
