Luminalt was on hand at last weekend’s festivities to celebrate the 75th birthday of the Golden Gate Bridge. Luminalt and Crissy Field Center staff led kids in a pinwheel craft to illustrate how renewable energy is a great source of power.
Luminalt installed five wind turbines in front of the Center to serve as a teaching tool for their innovative environmental education programs. In addition to the wind turbines, Luminalt installed a solar electric system that powers the Center, the cafe, and a free electric car charging station open to the public.
The wind turbines are well placed to catch the sea breeze as it blows in through the Golden Gate. Check out a short clip of the wind turbines at work!
