Luminalt has been selected as an Inner City AdvisorsPortfolio Company. ICA is a non-profit that works with high impact local entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and create good jobs in the inner city. ICA will help Luminalt grow by identifying needs to scale, creating a work plan, and matching Luminalt with high impact advisors.
Luminalt is a locally owned and operated solar design and installation firm based in San Francisco’s Mission District. The only woman-owned solar contractor in the Bay Area, Luminalt is known for its excellent work and for hiring from the community. Luminalt has designed and installed advanced energy systems at the Crissy Field Center, Mission Pie and hundreds of homes and businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. According to the California Solar Initiative, Luminalt has installed more solar systems in San Francisco than anyone else.
Inner City Advisors has provided consulting and advising to companies likeBlue Bottle Coffee and Revolution Foods, among others. In 2011, ICA helped its Portfolio Companies create 2,445 jobs with fair wages and a career path for advancement. ICA has challenged itself to grow that job number to 25,000.
