Position Name: Warehouse Manager

Expected Work Time: 6 am-2:30pm M-F 

Compensation: $65,000 – 75,000 (DOE)  + competitive benefits

Job Brief: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all things related to warehouse operations and maintenance, including but not limited to, inventory, cleanliness, organization and ensuring our crew has the materials needed to successfully complete their jobs. The WH manager is also responsible for fleet management as it relates to repairs and maintenance of all vehicles. Prior experience in the solar industry is strongly preferred.

Primary functions of the job:

  • Makes decisions and builds processes to ensure the warehouse fulfills it’s duty to ensure our crews are set up for success with respect to materials, deliveries and organization
  • Works closely with Accounting, Procurement and other cross functional teams to ensure clean recordkeeping and project readiness
  • Manage warehouse associate and delegate tasks 
  • Responsible for opening and staffing WH M-F 6am – 5:30 pm with hired support
  • Ensure warehouse is organized in an efficient manner with clearly labeled areas, and a designated place for all items
  • Ensure warehouse is clean and generally maintained
  • Ensures purchaser is alerted when running low on consumables and other items that need to be replenished
  • Daily, weekly and monthly inventory count and reporting out
  • Responsible for all documentation related to inventory, purchases etc. 
  • Responsible to pull and prepare materials for upcoming projects by reviewing project-specific Bill Of Materials (BOM) and calendar
  • Pre-fabricating job materials including cutting rails, roof blocks, kits of parts, etc
  • Fleet management 
  • Ensure that the warehouse is stocked, organized, and ready for all projects in queue. Organize materials, shelving, shop space, deliver trash to landfill, etc, as needed to keep shop organized and clean
  • Optimize staging of materials and warehouse process to achieve efficient morning crew loadouts 
  • Responsible for receiving and sorting and stocking all deliveries. Review for correct quantity, part numbers, and damage. Stock all items in shop manually or with forklift when received 
  • Complete paperwork and help develop processes related to keeping materials and inventory in order
  • Help crew members load/unload 
  • Deliver materials including panels and other small parts directly to the jobsite. Strategize on most efficient way(s) get equipment to job sites
  • Maintain inventory counts of major components including modules, inverters, racking, wiring, and balance of system components
  • Vehicle maintenance. Maintain vehicle maintenance binder for each vehicle and list of work needed on each vehicle. Trigger regular vehicle maintenance
  • Ensure vehicles are secured and readily available next day activities 
  • Hire and manage warehouse associate(s)

Successful candidates must meet the following Requirements:

  • Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Able to drive a forklift is a plus. We will train the right candidate
  • Able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong interest is working in the solar industry in San Francisco
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
