Pacific Gas & Electric offers a wide range of free courses in energy efficiency on topics including solar, water conservation, lighting, and architecture. PG&E offers these courses targeted to both industry professionals and novices at the Pacific Energy Center in downtown San Francisco at 851 Howard), online atwww.pge.com/pec, and around the Bay Area.
Luminalt installed the small solar system on the Pacific Energy Center’s roof to serve as a demonstration site for the Center’s numerous solar classes. The three panel system is comprised of three different types of panels: a SunPower module, a Sharp, and a Yingli panel. Each panel uses an Enphase microinverter to convert the energy it collects from DC (direct current) to AC (alternating current) for use in the grid.
